Join us to celebrate Charlie Lynn’s historic 100th trek across the Kokoda Trail.

FULL ITINERARY
Thursday 23 April:

  • Afternoon - arrive at Port Moresby International Airport (arrange own flights from your capital city)

  • Meet the Hilton Hotel transfer contact as you enter arrivals hall after clearing Customs/Immigration

  • Transfer to the Hilton Hotel, Port Moresby and Check-in for your stay

  • Afternoon at your leisure – The Hilton Hotel Pool and Lobby Bar come highly recommended

  • 6 pm Welcome Drinks in the Ground Floor Bar at the Hilton Hotel

  • Dinner at leisure

Friday 24 April:

  • Enjoy breakfast at the Hilton (Breakfast is included in your accommodation cost)

  • Meet bus in Hotel Lobby at 9 am for a tour of Port Moresby with Charlie Lynn as your guide

  • Drive through Port Moresby to the Sogeri Plateau in the foothills of the Owen Stanley Ranges

  • Visit Iarowari High School to see the Fish Farm and other nearby Network Kokoda projects

  • Visit Owers Corner and McDonalds Corner – Start of the Kokoda Trail – great photo opportunity

  • Visit Sogeri Lodge Compound

  • Long Lunch at “The Koitaki Country Club” in Sogeri for the lush PNG hinterland experience

  • The return trip to the Hilton to include Parliament House and Bird Sanctuary

  • Hilton Hotel Cocktails on our return

  • Dinner at Leisure as its an early start for the Dawn Service Saturday morning

Saturday 25 April:

  • Charlie Lynn Reveille at 3-30 am for a 4 am departure to Bomana

  • Bus departure from Hilton Hotel lobby to Bomana

  • Enjoy the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Bomana War Cemetery hosted by Charlie Lynn

  • Return to Hilton Hotel for a well-earned Breakfast by 7.30 am

  • Morning at Leisure post the early start for those that need a nap

  • Lunch at the Hilton Hotel

  • Network Kokoda “Two Up” game post lunch at the Hilton Hotel

  • Network Kokoda – Charlie Lynn’s 100th Trek Celebration and Fund Raising Dinner pre-dinner drinks from 5.30/6 pm in Hilton Hotel Lobby Bar

  • 6.30/7 pm Move to the Convention Centre a short 50-meter walk from the Hilton Lobby Bar

  • Celebrations and Fund-Raising Dinner till late

  • Nightcap in Lobby Bar if needed!

Sunday 26 April:

  • Breakfast at the Hilton Hotel

  • Morning recovery at leisure

  • Check out for those returning to their capital cities by 10 am

  • Transfers to Port Moresby International Airport for return flights at 11 am

  • For those remaining in PNG – Enjoy the rest of your stay – refer to links for available activities for the balance of your stay.
